After a hectic holiday season, she finally found herself alone with time to pause, and time to breathe. The Christmas decor has been put away. The parties are over. Hugs were exchanged, and goodbyes were said.

A new season has begun. The calendar she so carefully planned for the new year awaits her execution. 

But before she jumps in, she takes a moment to savor the silence. To ease into the regular routines. To kiss the cool air goodbye, before she can welcome the vibrant blooms and warm weather. She lingers at breakfast. Cradles her cup of coffee. Picks up flowers on her walks.  Whispers silent prayers throughout the day as she checks her items off her to-do list. 

The ordinary days have returned and they are so, so welcome. 

The magic remains. It might be less visible, but she can see it.

Because every day is a beautiful gift.
